Primordialement, PROM'AERO est un forum organisé par la Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Versailles Val d'Oise Yvelines destiné aux fournisseurs des industries aéronautiques spatiales et aéroportuaires.

Depuis sa création en 1992, ce salon biennal ayant lieu au Parc des Expositions de Cergy Pontoise, s'est affirmé au cours des éditions comme le point de rencontre privilégié des donneurs d'ordres, fournisseurs, et sous traitants de ces secteurs.
